What you are buying

A ready-made mystery costs $24.99. A custom mystery costs $34.99. Each purchase is one payment for one party: a private party code that you and your guests use to play. It is not a subscription.

The free mystery is free to play, as often as you like, within a daily limit per visitor. It is not a trial of anything and nothing is charged afterwards.

Gifts

A gift buys one party: a ready-made gift is used for any ready-made mystery, and a custom gift for a mystery written for the recipient's party or any ready-made one. Gifts never expire. We email the gift on the day the buyer chose; the buyer also gets a gift card to print or forward. Whoever has the gift code can use it, so keep it private. The buyer can have a refund within 14 days of buying if the gift has not been used; a refund cancels the gift.

Refunds

If your party has not started, ask within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. Refunds are always for the full price, and a refunded party closes and can no longer be played. If a custom mystery cannot be completed, you can have another written, swap to a ready-made mystery, or have a refund.

Fair use

  • A party code is for your own party. Do not resell it or publish the mystery.
  • Do not try to disrupt the site or get into other people's parties.
  • For custom mysteries, do not submit anything hateful, sexual, or private about real people.

Reviews

After a party, each player can post one short review. It appears on the site with the first name given, if any. We may hide reviews that are abusive, off topic or contain personal details. We never write reviews ourselves or pay for them.

The stories

Our mysteries are fiction. Characters and events are invented. They are written with AI and checked by software. Now and then one may contain a mistake. Tell us and we will put it right.

Hosting sensibly

You are responsible for your own party and guests. Family mysteries should be set up by an adult.

No warranty and limit of liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Everyone's a Suspect is not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the party concerned.
